Kim Hyun-joong is coming back with the role of hero Sin Jeong-tae in the new KBS drama “Generation of Youth“.
“Generation of Youth” is based in 1930 Shanghai about youths who go through love, friendship and passion. Sin Jeong-tae is clumsy and random at times but he is the greatest fighter in all of the backstreets of Shanghai.
Based on the original by Bang Hak-gi, Kim Hyun-joong is finally making his first drama come back in 3 years. He was to return sooner with “City Conquest” but had to step down as it fell through.

‘Iris 2′ star takes lead role in new drama
Actress Lim Soo-hyang of the KBS drama “IRIS 2″ and SBS drama “New Gisaeng Story” has been cast to play the lead role in an upcoming drama, tentatively named “Generation of Youth” on KBS.
“When she first got the script, she fell in love with the drama and focused on reading”, said an official at the production team. “After she competed with some other candidates, she became the final choice”.
The drama, which is scheduled to start its run in November, will have 24 episodes.
She will act with singer and actor Kim Hyun-joong of the TV drama “Boys over Flowers“. It is the first time in three years Kim has participated in a TV drama.
