Kim Hyun-joong

Korean singer/actor Kim Hyun-joong has showed his manly side for upcoming TV series.
Kim participated in the first taping of his upcoming drama “Age of Thrill” (translated title) at a restaurant in Seoul, Korea last week, the show’s broadcaster KBS said in a press release Tuesday.
On the filming set, Kim turned himself as ‘one real man’ with dark skin, short hair and skar-covered face. The “Boys over Flowers” star was not a flower boy anymore, the channel explained.
Kim takes on faitful fighter named Shin Jung-tae, who does everything for his loving younger sister. “I’m so glad to work with good drama and great producing crew. For now, I’m focusing on the character’s personal life, his inner pain and his current situation for taping the drama,” said Kim.
The comic book-based drama will be set in Shanghai in the 1930s and will highlight the topics of love, friendship, patriotism and ambition that youngsters of the time experienced.
As the follow-up to KBS’s current romcom “Bel Ami,” Kim’s first drama in three years is slated to hit air next January.
