Inspiring Generation Episode 10 -Favorite Scenes

Episode 10 gives Jung Tae a lot of insight to the man his father was, albeit it does nothing to lessen his anger towards the man who left his family behind while caring for the others he deems less fortunate. This drama does a really nice job of revealing things to us (and to the characters) little by little - just enough to cure our frustrations but not too much so that we are still interestedand making up our own answers, which makes the watching experience more enjoyable.
So let's take a look at our favorites scenes from 10.
GG's Favorite Scene 1: I really like the irony in Shin Young-Chool's character because it compels us to take a stand one way or the other - can you really love or respect a man who leaves his wife and young kids behind, with no explanation and no excuses, to go fight the "good fight"? This scene is a great depiction of that irony; while he expressed no sadness at his father's passing and is only at the funeral to "erase" the memory of his father, he is bombarded by the very people his father left to save. One by one, they mourn his father's passing by giving him money to pay for the funeral, even though some clearly barely have enough to eat. It's quite touching to see that his father had changed the lives of so many people. And though Jung Tae is clearly empathetic towards them, having been in their situation since he was young, he is still indifferent to his father and shows no signs of mourning. Also interesting to note is how similar Jung Tae is to his father, willing to stand up and fight for those who can't, and may in the end, follow that same path. I do hope he will have learned from his father and will decide not to burden a wife or kids as he chooses that road.
MSKHJ's Favorite Scene 1: GG, this is also my favorite scene of episode 10. I think this is a really important scene to understand Jung Tae's father a bit better and Jung Tae's resentment towards him as well. Shin Young Chool turns out to be a father-like figure to those in need in Bangsamtong whereas his own children are left behind and not taken care of... I guess that if I were Jung Tae I would also be embittered by this fact. At the same time, Jung Tae had no idea of the importance his father had in Shanghai nor how his life was there so he is discovering now a different of side of him... what I'm wondering is if this in the end will make Jung Tae change his feelings an opinion towards him or if his resentment will prevail... Like GG says, Jung Tae resemblance with his father is more than visible so now we only have to wait to see what choices Jung Tae makes...
